I am also a Member of the Faculty for Healthcare Counsellors and Psychotherapists (FHCP), a Member of the Association of Independent Practitioners (AIP), and a Registered Member of Counsellors and Psychotherapists in Primary Care.
Additionally, I am in regular professional supervision to monitor the work I do, ensuring I give my clients the best possible support.
Counselling Qualifications
I hold Diplomas in Counselling from the University of Westminster, Birkbeck College - University of London and the Institute of Counselling and have also furthered my studies at the Lincoln Institute for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Counselling Experience
I offer private counselling to individuals at my counselling practice in Ealing and also work in primary care (GP surgeries) for the boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow. As an experienced counsellor, I am comfortable working with a range of issues that include but are not limited to: depression, anxiety and stress, low self esteem, bereavement and loss, relationship difficulties, panic attacks, abuse and self harm, identity issues, cultural issues and work-related issues. But please talk to me about other areas too. If I feel unable to work in the area you need I will do my best to refer you to someone who can help you.
Counselling Methods
Each person is different and I therefore adapt my approach to suit the individual. I practice integrative therapy using several models including psychodynamic, humanistic/person-centred and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This means I am able to use a specific approach or combinations of approaches to best ensure I help individuals work through their issues.
